Greg is a partner at Vacek, Kiecke & Colmenero, LLP. Greg’s practice is focused on estate planning, family wealth transfer, complex estate administration, and fiduciary litigation. In addition, Greg is a CPA who prepares income tax returns for individuals and entities and handles tax controversies before the IRS.

Some of his recent representative experience includes:
  • Designing wealth transfer and succession estate plans that minimize gift, estate, inheritance, and generation-skipping taxes, including plans designed to protect family assets and shift wealth down to the next generation, including partnerships, qualified personal residence trusts (QPRTs), intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs), irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), grantor retained trusts, Crummey trusts, among others
  • Representing executors before the IRS on estate tax audits, especially in the areas involving discounts for property held in Family Limited Partnerships (FLPs)
  • Advising individual and corporate Executors and Trustees on fiduciary duties, litigation, and tax issues and representing clients in fiduciary litigation matters
  • Preparation of estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and income tax returns for entities and individuals
  • Counseling clients on medical and health care arrangements for themselves and family members
  • Preparing pre-marital and post-marital property agreements addressing community and separate property issue
  • Assisting clients with the creation of charitable giving techniques, including charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder trusts, and private foundations
  • Providing advice to beneficiaries of estates and trusts to determine and enforce their rights as beneficiaries
